Estimate as of June 2026. This calculator does not predict allotment. It uses the actual allotted quantity you enter.

How to calculate your IPO return

Use the allotment shown in the official result—not the quantity you hoped to receive. Enter the issue price from the prospectus, any C-ASBA fee your bank charged and a current or expected selling price. The calculator separates the money that was temporarily blocked from the amount actually debited for allotted shares.

How IPO applications work in Nepal

Retail investors commonly apply through MeroShare using C-ASBA. The application amount is blocked in the linked bank account, while the final debit depends on the official allotment. CDSC provides the current issue list, MeroShare access and the official IPO-result service; SEBON approves public issues and publishes the governing issuance and allotment guidelines.

This tool intentionally does not estimate allotment probability. Oversubscription, reserved categories, rejected applications and the issue-specific allotment basis make a generic probability number unreliable.

Looking for the official allotment checker or current opening dates? Use the IPO Result & Upcoming IPO Calendar. Tools Pasal never asks for or stores your BOID.

Worked example

Suppose you applied for 20 shares at Rs 100 and received 10 shares. Rs 2,000 was blocked, Rs 1,000 was used for the allotment and roughly Rs 1,000 was released. If the market price later reaches Rs 450, the calculator estimates what remains after broker commission, SEBON fee, DP charge and CGT.

Important limitations

  • Market price is an estimate until a trade actually executes.
  • Issue prices may be Rs 100, premium-priced or set through book building.
  • Bank C-ASBA charges vary, so enter the amount on your own statement.
  • CGT treatment depends on investor type and holding period.

Frequently asked questions

Does this calculator predict whether I will receive an IPO allotment?

No. Allotment depends on valid applications, reserved groups, issue size and the official allotment process. Enter the quantity actually allotted after checking the result published through CDSC.

Can I use a price other than Rs 100?

Yes. The issue-price field is editable for premium issues and book-building IPOs. Use the exact price shown in the prospectus or MeroShare application.

Does the profit include NEPSE selling charges and tax?

Yes. When you enter a market price, the estimate includes broker commission, SEBON fee, DP charge and applicable capital gains tax using the same verified engine as the Tools Pasal NEPSE calculator.

Why is the ASBA fee separate from the IPO share cost?

The application fee is a real expense for your investment return, but it is not part of the issue price paid for the allotted securities. The calculator includes it in ROI while showing it separately.
